iPhone4 Gadget Review

It seems that every time Apple announces a release of a new gadget, it always turns into a huge event. There is always the dramatic announcement, all the speculation, and of course the months of anticipation from a lot of people who are just craving for the newest piece of technology available. The iphone4 is by no means an exception to this.  But is it really worth all the hype that it’s gotten?

The iphone4 really did deliver and perhaps even exceeded the expectations of a lot of people. Complete with all new features like an excellent CPU, a fresh new design, a front-facing camera and the usual 5 pixel camera behind it, and of course the amazing retina display, there is no doubt that Apple has been working very hard to bring the world the very best gadgets that they could offer.

To start with, this newest reincarnation of the iPhone has a new look to it compared to its predecessors. It has a more elegant and classic design if you compare it to previous models. It is also noticeably thinner but oddly enough, of the same weight as with previous iPhones making it look sleeker and sturdier.

The face of the iphone4 is made from very tough glass which is said to be thirty times stronger than plastic. There are volume buttons, and a mute switch situated on its left side while its right side there is the power button, sleep button, a jack for headphones, and a noise-canceling microphone. A microphone, speaker and dock connector is found at its bottom. The back part is also made of strong glass and houses the five megapixel camera complete with flash and the famous apple logo.

The new iPhone didn’t just undergo a cosmetic change, but there are changes in its internal components as well. It now has the new A4 chip which is the similar one used in the apple iPad. Its graphics and performance seems much better than the previous iPhone but the difference is really not that noticeable since the 3GS was doing a great job in that department as well. In terms of internal storage, it is available in 32gig and 16gig capacity.

The new retina display is something that is really amazing about this phone as well. It easily makes this new iPhone the best display in a mobile phone out in the market. It has a pixel density of 326 ppi and a screen resolution of 940 x 640 megapixels. The only problem with this is that the company isn’t making enough applications right now to fully make use of the amazing graphics.

The camera has also been improved as well. The camera is 5 megapixels with a VGA-res front facing camera complete with an LCD flash. Although the camera itself doesn’t have the same capacity as other high end smartphones, it can still create good pictures in every lighting condition. It also has new built-in video calling feature called FaceTime which allows you to speak face to face with someone also using an iPhone.

In all the iphone4 is one decent piece of equipment. It addressed almost all of the problems that users had with the previous iPhones and made additional upgrades especially on the graphics part. What is good about it is that it sets the bar very high for the whole smartphone industry so we can expect a lot more improvements from other companies as well.
