A Social Web Browser
November 16, 2010 No CommentsA new web browser called RockMelt launched last week. They set out invitation for a beta test through facebook. To get the word out to everyone, though, they came out with a short video demonstrating their new project. It got an impressive 500,000 hits.
Rockmelt claims to combine your social life directly into your web browser’s interface to create one seamless experience no matter what website you are viewing. Simply put, it loads your facebook and twitter pages on the left side of your screen. This will allow you to share any of the site you are visiting with just one click. You don’t need to leave the page or go to another tab.
I think it is decent enough to give it a try. However, I don’t think many people would feel the same way. They need to come up with a scheme that would get students to get on this, they will most likely fail.
What do you think? Watch the video below.
